Every person in the netball community has a responsibility to understand their role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care.
St Dominic's Netball Club is committed to promoting and protecting the rights of children and preventing abuse from occurring by fostering a culture where children feel safe and empowered.
We also seek to ensure the cultural safety of First Nations children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and children with a disability.
We stand by and adhere to Netball Victoria’s Commitment to Child Safety, including:
• 11 Child Safeguarding Standards
• Netball Victoria Child Safety Policy & Code of Conduct
• Netball Victoria Complaints Process (excluding instances of Child Abuse)
• Netball Victoria Child Abuse Complaints Process
• Compliance with Netball Victoria Member Protection Policy
• Compliance with Netball Victoria Child Safety Policy
You can also view the Netball Victoria Child Safeguarding Resource Hub for many more resources.
We encourage input of families and communities in decisions impacting children and young people. You can contact us at stdomsnetball@gmail.com or the Club President.
We at St Dominic's Netball Club believe children and young people should feel comfortable, be cared for, feel safe and be safe.
